Summer Clay Camp (July 15th-19th). 10-1pm

This week long class meets Monday-Friday and is available to children ages 10-16. Are you interested in your kids learning an ancient skill taught by professional artists who actually know what they are doing? Master potter James Olney along with guest artist Elsa Felti, will be teaching the specifics of how to make pots on the potter’s wheel. Students will spend 4 days making pots on the wheel and the final day will be spent trimming and decorating. The class is an intensive experience meant to actually teach kids how to use the potters wheel instead of simply mushing clay around. Experienced teachers, small class sizes, and professional tools is what sets this class apart from the rest! Kids will be able to keep 6 pots each. The pots will remain in the studio to be glazed and fired and will be ready for pickup in about 3 weeks. All pots are safe to use and can be put in the dishwasher. All materials used are non toxic!
