Pottery Under the Full Moon: with Potter James
Join fellow clay enthusiasts August 6 from 7-10pm at the SYNC yoga studio in Oak Cliff to celebrate the Sturgeon Moon (named by the native Americans for the fishing this time of year). For centuries cultures around the world celebrate the full moon as a time to focus on inner peace, strength, and connection to the world around them. Potter James Olney of Oak Cliff Pottery will guide full moon participants in a meditation to create your very own clay sushi plate, honoring the tradition of fishing this time of year.
The class includes everything you will need to make your own clay sushi plate. James will take your piece back to his studio and have it fired and cured to about 2000F and it will be ready for you to pick up in about two weeks.
This event is open to all ages and skill levels. Space is limited so reserve your spot today.
